First Post

So here we are. It was only a matter of time before the narcissism of the 21st century got to me as well. A personal blog, because I am just that damn important and interesting. I will spare you the torment of cataloguing every individual moment of my life, with every cup of coffee as well all as every individual bowel movement described in minute detail (just the really interesting ones). What I will try and accomplish is to talk about things that I find interesting which when all is said and done really comes down to music, movies and books.

My name is Stephen Holland. I live in Dublin. I'm 21 years old and I'm studying arty farty media pretension. When I'm feeling particularly confident I describe myself as a writer, but I'm starting to realise that this might be slightly problematic as there is very little evidence of any actual writing. It's time to put my money where my mouth is and hopefully a couple of people will find what I have to say interesting. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take, so I'm going to give this a serious go. Who knows, maybe through the mundanity of my everyday life we'll be able to see a glimmer of the complexities of the human soul, delve into the mysteries of the universe, and discover our own place and purpose in it.... Or I could recommend a song you end up really liking. What have we got to lose?
